HISTORY MADE AGAIN...

Major Raymond C. Christian, a history breaker once again serves as the first Grand Marshall African American Major in the history of Glenwood, Illinois - July 4, 2011 during the  Independence Day Parade.

Major Christian is seen here on stage giving a superb speech on the suffering and neglect of veterans and soldiers as they return home from war.  "The Applause was loud enough to wake up Congress and the Senate."

Major Christian said, "It was an honor to meet the Chief of Police Demitrious Cook."

I was really touched by the control and discipline of the children at The Learning Corner, Inc.  I enjoyed greeting each and everyone.

The two instructors of The Learning Corner, Inc. are  to my right side - La'Shone Zinnerman and to my left - Mary Commodore.

First photo taken on the grounds of the golf course.  This is where all of the after festivities took place.  There was cotton candy and games for children and adults to enjoy.

An outside movie was shown and fireworks was bursting in the air later in the evening.  Lots of food and fun!
